I know that I’m lactose intolerant, why does this not show up on my results?
The intolerance testing, we carry out is for IgG immune-mediated reactions to the proteins in items. Lactose intolerance is a different type of intolerance to an IgG intolerance, it is, in fact, an enzyme-mediated intolerance. It occurs due to the lack of the enzyme, lactase, to breakdown the sugar in milk, lactose. It is for this reason that your lactose intolerance does not show up.
