The at-home Liver Function test provides you with indicators of 10 key health markers from a small urine sample.
This test is designed to identify possible issues with your liver function and general health as a first-step indicator. The strips tests for 10 items including Leukocytes (white blood cells), Nitrites, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood and Glucose from a small urine sample. Results can then be used to ensure optimum health or request further investigation.

Testing kits are easy to use and provided with step-by-step guide allowing you to carry out the test on yourself or your family in the comfort of your own home with results being displaying fast. 5 strips are provided to allow for ongoing monitoring and validation of results.
How it works:
Simply follow the instructions provided to use the testing kit taking a small sample of your urine and analysing it on the strip and chart provided. Results take 60 seconds.

Leukocytes
White Blood Cells produced by the body to help fight infection and found in a sample couple indicate a UTI or Kidney Infection.
Nitrites
Bacteria that cause urinary tract infections (UTIs) convert nitrates into nitrites. Positive results for nitrites could indicate a UTI.
Urobilinogen
A by-product of the breakdown of Bilirubin. Smaller levels are normal, but larger levels could indicate liver disease.
Protein
High levels of protein in a urine sample can indicate possible kidney disease or the need for further investigation.
pH
Checks the acidity or alkalinity of urine.
Blood
A serious UTI/Cystitis can cause blood in urine as well as other issues such as kidney stones or bladder/kidney cancer.
Specific Gravity (S.G.)
Higher specific gravity could be signs of a UTI, diabetes or even dehydration. Other issues could be a kidney infection, kidney failure or heart failure.
Ketone
Ketones are produced when the body is not able to extract energy from Glucose and therefore starts to burn off body fat. A high level of ketones could simply be down to dieting, not eating for prolonged periods of time (12-18 hours), or something more serious such as diabetes.
Bilirubin
A by-product of the breakdown of red blood cells. These cells should not be present in the urine and these could indicate liver disease.
Glucose
Not usually found in urine as the kidneys are able to process it and release it back into the body. Glucose in urine can indicate undiagnosed diabetes.
